All eyes were on Hull in 2017 as the city was celebrated as the City of Culture.

But behind the scenes after a chance encounter with award-winning documentary maker Sean McAllister, Steve was asked to get involved in a film Sean was making: A Northern Soul the documentary.

In this talk Steve shares his experience of putting his life in the spotlight through the documentary and how he’s now trying to create new opportunities for the community he lives in, Hull (and beyond).

This speech was in 2018 during the City of Culture and tells the story of what Steve went through during his earlier life, his adult life and how this shaped him to become the man he is today. Not only dreaming but following through to create something that has and continues to help and inspire both children and adults through the core principles of Hip-Hop:

Each One, Teach One.
